Water Birth
Hello!
I'm 30 weeks along with my first child, and I'm tacking down my tentative birthing plans -- I keep coming back to this question of whether or not I will rent a tub for a water birth at my birth center. It's a "birth center" attached to a hospital in a hippie community that is super natural childbirth friendly. They already have deep sit-down tubs in the rooms for laboring, but not for birthing. To get a birthing tub, it's about 250-300 dollars to rent, I think... It could be a bit less than that. But regardless, it's a cost, and as it stands right now, my insurance is covering everything but that and I am weighing the pros and cons of spending the money on that as opposed to ... I don't know ... a month's worth of delicious organic food post-partum, lol.
